Linux and the Samsung YP-P2 mp3 player

My wife has purchased a new mp3 player, the Samsung YP-P2 8gb. It’s a cool little gadget (native A2DP Bluetooth, mp4 video capable, pictures, touch screen, etc, etc). Unfortunately, out of the box it only speaks MTP. My lovely wife’s PC boots a Debian GNOME desktop, which only groks UMS. What’s a bald hacker to do?

I missed the eclipse - because of the weather.

Well, it’ll be December 2010 before another total Lunar eclipse happens again. Unfortunately, we had a cold-front push a bunch of nasty, drizzling clouds into my sky. So, I couldn’t watch the dragon consume the Moon.

No wonder it took so long for people to notice this stuff in pre-history; weather could occlude anyone knowing eclipses were happening!

Ah well, here’s to the next chance in 2010.

Let’s try this again…

I’m going to try getting back onto just a single blog instead of scattering all the stuff around the internet. Don’t know why my opinion on this changes to often, but I guess it’ll be something to try for a while.
